Overview

A combination therapy consisting of nedocromil and salbutamol (albuterol) used for the prevention and management of asthma, particularly exercise-induced asthma. Nedocromil is a mast cell stabilizer that reduces inflammation in the lungs by inhibiting inflammatory cells from releasing substances that cause asthma symptoms. Salbutamol is a beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist that acts as a bronchodilator, opening up narrowed breathing passages. When used together, these medications show an additive protective effect against bronchospasm.
