neisseria meningitidis group C (strain C11) polysaccharide (de-O-acetylated) conjugated to tetanus toxoid is a monovalent conjugate vaccine developed by Sanofi Pasteur for the prevention of invasive meningococcal disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroup C. The vaccine utilizes a capsular polysaccharide derived from the C11 strain, which has been de-O-acetylated to potentially enhance the induction of high-avidity bactericidal antibodies. This polysaccharide is covalently linked to a tetanus toxoid carrier protein, which converts the T-cell independent polysaccharide antigen into a T-cell dependent antigen, thereby inducing immunological memory and a more robust immune response, particularly in infants and young children. It is typically administered via intramuscular injection and is used in various national immunization programs, including in Brazil, and is WHO prequalified.
