Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Neltependocel + Y-27632** (AURN001) is a combination cell therapy comprised of **allogeneic human corneal endothelial cells (neltependocel)** and **Y-27632**. Neltependocel delivers healthy corneal endothelial cells to patients with corneal endothelial dysfunction, aiming to restore corneal clarity and function. **Y-27632** is a highly selective, cell-permeable small molecule inhibitor of Rho-associated coiled-coil containing protein kinase (ROCK), which acts by promoting cell survival, proliferation, and attachment of corneal endothelial cells. The combination is administered as a single intracameral (anterior chamber) injection to the eye. The primary clinical indication under development is treatment of **corneal edema secondary to corneal endothelial dysfunction**, as an alternative to corneal transplantation. The product is in phase 1/2 clinical trials with evidence of improved best-corrected visual acuity and corneal thickness in a dose-dependent manner.[1][3][5][6][7][8][9]
