Overview

Nelutroctiv (CK-136) is a novel, selective, oral, small molecule cardiac troponin activator being developed by Cytokinetics for the treatment of heart failure. Discovered in collaboration with Amgen, it functions through an allosteric mechanism that sensitizes the cardiac sarcomere to calcium, thereby facilitating increased actin-myosin cross-bridge formation and enhancing myocardial contractility.
