Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NEO-201 CAR-NK is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor natural killer (CAR-NK) cell therapy developed by Precision Biologics for the treatment of solid and hematological malignancies. The therapy utilizes natural killer cells engineered with a CAR derived from the NEO-201 humanized monoclonal antibody, which specifically targets truncated O-glycans (core 1 O-glycans) found on CEACAM5 and CEACAM6 proteins. These truncated glycans are tumor-associated antigens that are highly expressed on various human carcinoma cells but are absent on most normal tissues. By combining the innate anti-tumor activity of NK cells with the precise targeting of the NEO-201 antibody, this therapy aims to provide a potent and selective treatment for cancers expressing these specific glycan epitopes.
