Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NEO Agent (MRI) is a gadolinium-based molecular imaging contrast agent developed by NeoIndicate for the detection and characterization of brain tumors, specifically gliomas. It targets Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Mu (PTPµ, also known as PTPRM), a biomarker that is proteolytically cleaved and becomes exposed in the tumor microenvironment of multiple cancer types, including glioblastoma. By binding to this tumor-specific form of PTPµ, the agent enhances MRI detection, potentially allowing for better visualization of tumor margins and infiltrative cells that are often missed by standard contrast agents.
