Neo-antigen specific tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) developed by Tongji Hospital is an autologous cell therapy designed for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. The therapeutic process involves isolating T cells from a patient's tumor tissue, identifying specific mutations (neo-antigens) unique to that patient's cancer through genomic sequencing, and selectively expanding TILs that demonstrate reactivity against these personalized neo-antigens. Following a lymphodepleting conditioning regimen typically consisting of cyclophosphamide and fludarabine, the enriched TIL population is re-infused into the patient. This treatment is often administered alongside aldesleukin (IL-2) to promote the survival, expansion, and anti-tumor activity of the infused cells. The goal of this precision immunotherapy is to leverage the patient's own immune system to specifically target and eliminate tumor cells while minimizing off-target toxicity.
