Neo-mDC is an autologous dendritic cell vaccine developed by CellGENTherapies in collaboration with Ghent University and UZ Gent. It is designed for the treatment of resected non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) to prevent disease recurrence. The vaccine is produced by isolating a patient's own dendritic cells and loading them with mRNA that encodes personalized, tumor-specific neoantigens identified through genomic sequencing of the patient's tumor. Once administered, these dendritic cells present the neoantigens to the immune system, specifically T cells, to stimulate a targeted immune response against residual cancer cells expressing those unique mutations. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial.
