Overview
Neo Penotran Forte is a vaginal suppository containing two active ingredients: metronidazole (750 mg) and miconazole nitrate (200 mg). It is used to treat various vaginal infections including candidal vulvovaginitis caused by Candida albicans, bacterial vaginosis caused by anaerobic bacteria and Gardnerella vaginalis, trichomonal vaginitis caused by Trichomonas vaginalis, and mixed vaginal infections. Metronidazole acts as an antibiotic against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, while miconazole nitrate functions as an antifungal agent that inhibits fungal growth.
