Overview

NEO-TRA1 is a precision-tuned, *de novo* designed protein therapeutic that functions as a selective agonist of the IL-2 receptor beta and gamma subunits, specifically targeting and expanding regulatory T cells (Tregs). Developed using computational protein engineering by Neoleukin Therapeutics, NEO-TRA1 aims to provide a best-in-class therapeutic window for modulating immune responses. Preclinical data demonstrated potent and selective Treg expansion in vitro (human cells from healthy and systemic lupus erythematosus patients) and in vivo (humanized mouse models), supporting its potential for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The modular design separates the cytokine mimetic and cell-targeting domains to maximize selectivity and minimize effects on non-targeted cells[1][2].
