Neo-Ts refers to neoantigen-specific CD8+ T cells, a type of adoptive T cell therapy (ACT) developed to target individual patient's unique tumor mutations. This cell therapy aims to increase treatment efficacy in cancers that are refractory to standard therapies. In a Phase I clinical trial (NCT02959905), Neo-Ts were generated from patients with locally advanced or metastatic melanoma or colon cancers. The therapy was evaluated for safety and objective response rate, showing promising results with or without lymphodepletion. The median progression-free survival was 7.1 months, and the median overall survival was 16.8 months, with an objective response rate of 33.3%. Neoantigen-specific T cell receptors were observed to expand and persist after treatment in responding patients.
