Overview

Neo-Vac-Mn is a personalized neoantigen peptide vaccine developed by Xiangya Hospital of Central South University for the treatment of metastatic cutaneous melanoma. This investigational immunotherapy is tailored to individual patients by identifying tumor-specific non-synonymous mutations through genomic sequencing and selecting the most immunogenic neoantigens. The vaccine consists of synthetic peptides designed to activate CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, thereby generating a targeted immune response against cancer cells while sparing normal tissues. In clinical evaluation, Neo-Vac-Mn is typically administered in combination with the PD-1 checkpoint inhibitor toripalimab and adjuvants such as recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (rhGM-CSF) and imiquimod to enhance T-cell activation and overcome the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment.
