Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NeoAB33 is a Class 1 biologic protein being developed by Saisheng Pharmaceutical for the treatment of hypovolemia, acute ischemic stroke, and various microcirculatory disorders. The drug functions as a kininogenase, an enzyme that releases bradykinin and lysyl-bradykinin from kininogen. These released peptides activate bradykinin B1 and B2 receptor signaling pathways, leading to immediate vasodilation and long-term angiogenesis. This mechanism increases blood flow to critical tissues, including the brain, kidneys, and heart, while also providing anticoagulation and reducing blood viscosity. Saisheng Pharmaceutical acquired the technology for NeoAB33 from Beijing Huada Protein R&D Center in June 2025 for 20 million yuan.
