Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Neoadjuvant chemotherapy + sintilimab is an investigational combination regimen that pairs preoperative (neoadjuvant) chemotherapy with sintilimab, a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1). Sintilimab, co-developed by Innovent Biologics and Eli Lilly, acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor by blocking the interaction between PD-1 and its ligands (PD-L1 and PD-L2), thereby restoring T-cell-mediated antitumor activity. The chemotherapy component typically consists of platinum-based regimens (such as paclitaxel plus carboplatin, cisplatin, or FLOT/XELOX regimens) depending on the tumor type. This combination is being evaluated in the neoadjuvant setting for various resectable or locally advanced cancers, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), gastric or gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) adenocarcinoma, and locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC).
