Overview

The neoantigen polypeptide immunomodulator is a personalized cancer vaccine developed by The Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University for the treatment of epithelial ovarian cancer. This investigational therapy utilizes patient-specific somatic mutations identified through whole-exome and RNA sequencing of tumor biopsies. Bioinformatic algorithms are employed to predict and select high-affinity neoantigens that can be presented by the patient's specific HLA molecules. These selected neoantigens are synthesized as long polypeptides and administered to the patient to stimulate a robust, tumor-specific T-cell response, including both CD4+ and CD8+ T-cells. By targeting mutations unique to the individual's malignancy, the immunomodulator aims to overcome the low immunogenicity of traditional tumor-associated antigens while minimizing off-target toxicity to healthy tissues.
