This investigational neoantigen-primed dendritic cell (DC) vaccine is a personalized cancer immunotherapy developed by researchers at Sichuan University (West China Hospital). It is designed as an adjuvant therapy for patients with locally advanced gastric cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, non-small cell lung cancer, and colorectal cancer following curative surgery. The vaccine is produced by identifying patient-specific tumor neoantigens through genomic sequencing of the individual's tumor tissue. Autologous dendritic cells are then harvested from the patient's peripheral blood, matured, and loaded with these synthetic neoantigen peptides. Upon subcutaneous administration, these primed dendritic cells present the neoantigens to the patient's T-cells, aiming to stimulate a robust, tumor-specific immune response that targets and eliminates residual micrometastatic disease to prevent recurrence.
