Overview

Neobella is an injectable lipolytic solution primarily composed of synthetic deoxycholic acid, a bile acid that naturally occurs in the human body to facilitate the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. It is specifically designed for non-surgical fat reduction and body contouring, particularly for the treatment of submental fullness (double chin) and localized fat deposits in areas such as the abdomen, thighs, and arms. Although sometimes categorized alongside dermal fillers in aesthetic product catalogs, Neobella is not a volumizing agent; instead, it acts as a cytolytic drug that disrupts the phospholipid bilayer of adipocyte (fat cell) membranes. This process, known as adipocytolysis, leads to the permanent destruction of fat cells, which are then naturally metabolized and cleared by the body's lymphatic system. Developed by New-Bio in South Korea, Neobella was distributed in the United States by Vivid Scientific prior to the distributor's closure.
