Overview
Neocate Syneo is a specialized, 100% amino acid-based infant formula designed for the dietary management of cow's milk allergy (CMA), multiple food allergies, and related gastrointestinal conditions such as eosinophilic esophagitis and food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES). Developed by Nutricia, the formula is hypoallergenic as it contains no intact or hydrolyzed milk proteins, using free amino acids as the nitrogen source. A key feature is the inclusion of the Syneo synbiotic blend, which combines prebiotics (short-chain and long-chain fructooligosaccharides) and a probiotic strain (Bifidobacterium breve M-16V) to support the development of a healthy gut microbiome and modulate the immune response. Clinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in reducing pro-inflammatory cytokines and managing symptoms in infants with non-IgE mediated CMA.
