Neofen Combo

Neofen Combo is a fixed-dose combination of ibuprofen (200 mg) and paracetamol (500 mg) developed by Belupo and distributed by Farmavita. It is indicated for the short-term relief of mild to moderate pain, including headache, migraine, back pain, menstrual pain, toothache, muscular pain, sore throat, and fever. The combination utilizes the synergistic effects of two distinct mechanisms of action: ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzymes to reduce prostaglandin synthesis, and paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic that primarily acts on the central nervous system to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis and raise the pain threshold. This multimodal approach provides faster, stronger, and longer-lasting pain relief compared to either active ingredient alone.
