Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NeoFitoroid is a plant-based medical device developed by Aboca for the treatment of hemorrhoidal disease (internal and external) and associated symptoms such as pain, burning, and pruritus. It functions by creating a protective, mucoadhesive barrier on the anal and perianal mucosa, which shields the tissue from contact with irritants and reduces friction during bowel movements. The formulation contains a synergistic complex of plant extracts, including Helydol (a lipophilic fraction of Helichrysum flowering tops), Ruscus root, Aloe vera leaf gel, and essential oils. These ingredients provide soothing and antioxidant properties to support the physiological healing process without the use of corticosteroids or local anesthetics. It is typically administered topically or rectally as an ointment.
