NeoFuse is an investigational regenerative medicine product developed by Mesoblast for use in posterolateral lumbar fusion (PLF) procedures. It consists of allogeneic Mesenchymal Precursor Cells (MPCs), which are stem cell-based biologics, combined with MasterGraft Granules, a ceramic bone scaffold. The therapy is designed to promote bone regeneration and spinal fusion in patients with degenerative disc disease (DDD), degenerative spondylolisthesis, or spinal stenosis. By leveraging the osteogenic and regenerative properties of MPCs, NeoFuse aims to provide a reliable alternative to autologous bone grafts, thereby eliminating the need for a second surgical procedure to harvest bone from the patient's iliac crest.
