Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NeoFuse + MasterGraft Matrix is a combination biologic-device product developed by Mesoblast for spinal fusion procedures. The product consists of NeoFuse, which contains immunoselected, culture-expanded, allogeneic mesenchymal precursor cells (MPCs), and MasterGraft Matrix, a synthetic bone graft scaffold manufactured by Medtronic. The MPCs serve as the active biological component, promoting bone formation and fusion through their osteogenic potential, while the MasterGraft Matrix provides an osteoconductive framework to support new bone growth. This combination therapy has been evaluated in clinical trials for treating conditions such as degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, and degenerative spondylolisthesis in both lumbar and cervical spinal fusion surgeries.
