NeoOVIV is a personalized mRNA-lipid nanoparticle (LNP) cancer vaccine developed by West China Hospital for the treatment of ovarian cancer. It is designed to encode patient-specific neoantigens identified through genomic sequencing of an individual's tumor tissue. By delivering these mRNA sequences via lipid nanoparticles, the vaccine aims to stimulate the patient's immune system, specifically inducing a T-cell mediated response to recognize and eliminate residual cancer cells. NeoOVIV is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials, where it is administered intramuscularly in combination with standard adjuvant chemotherapy and the PD-1 inhibitor tislelizumab to prevent recurrence in patients with stage II or III ovarian cancer following surgery.
