NeoPutty is a premixed, bioactive bioceramic mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) material designed for use in endodontic and pediatric dental procedures. It is a calcium silicate-based cement that is radiopaque, non-staining, and promotes the formation of hydroxyapatite to facilitate healing and dentin bridge formation. In clinical practice, it is used for vital pulp therapy, including pulpotomy and pulp capping, particularly in primary molars. The material is valued for its high alkaline pH, which provides antimicrobial properties and a biocompatible seal. A randomized clinical trial conducted by the October University for Modern Sciences and Arts evaluated NeoPutty as a novel pulpotomy medication, comparing its clinical and radiographic success against traditional formocresol in children with carious primary teeth.
