Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NeoTrace 4 is an intravenous trace element formulation developed by SciGen, specifically approved in South Korea for use in oncology. It contains four essential trace elements: zinc, copper, manganese, and chromium. These elements are provided as additives to total parenteral nutrition (TPN) solutions to prevent or treat deficiencies in patients who are unable to receive adequate nutrition orally or enterally. Each element acts as a critical cofactor for various metabolic processes, including enzyme function, glucose metabolism, and cellular repair, which are often compromised in cancer patients undergoing intensive treatment.
