Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NeoX-101 is a small-molecule antibiotic resistance breaker developed by Lixa. It utilizes the proprietary NeoX™ technology designed to 'switch off' bacterial resistance mechanisms via a conserved biological pathway, thereby potentially restoring the effectiveness of antibiotics against resistant strains. The drug is being evaluated in an inhaled formulation for chronic respiratory conditions, including bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), having successfully completed a Phase 1 clinical trial. Additionally, oral and intravenous formulations are in preclinical development for the treatment of systemic infections.
