Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Neph-M Eye Drop is an ophthalmic combination solution developed by Sapient Laboratories for the treatment of allergic eye diseases, including eye allergy, redness, itching, and swelling. It is formulated with four active components: naphazoline hydrochloride (a decongestant and vasoconstrictor that acts as an alpha-adrenergic receptor agonist to narrow blood vessels in the eye), chlorpheniramine maleate (an antihistamine that blocks histamine H1 receptors to relieve itching and watering), hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (a lubricant that mimics natural tears to soothe dry and irritated eyes), and boric acid (a mild antiseptic that cleanses the eye and relieves irritation). Neph-M Eye Drop is marketed in India as a prescription ophthalmic solution.
