Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NerveTrace 700 (also known as LGW16-03 or NerveTrace Dx) is a near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent small-molecule imaging agent developed by Trace Biosciences (originally originated at Oregon Health & Science University) for real-time intraoperative nerve visualization. The agent is designed to selectively bind to peripheral nerves (specifically targeting myelin) and emit a fluorescent signal in the 700-nm wavelength range, allowing surgeons to identify and spare critical nerve structures during complex surgeries such as prostatectomy, spine surgery, brain and skull base surgery, and orthopedic surgery. By providing high-contrast visualization of sub-millimeter nerve branches even when buried beneath tissues or blood, NerveTrace 700 aims to reduce the risk of iatrogenic nerve injury and improve post-surgical patient outcomes.
