Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Netakimab is a humanized recombinant IgG1 monoclonal antibody that targets and neutralizes interleukin-17A (IL-17A), a pro-inflammatory cytokine involved in the pathogenesis of several autoimmune diseases. By inhibiting IL-17A, netakimab reduces inflammation and immune-mediated tissue damage. It is administered via subcutaneous injection and has demonstrated efficacy in moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis, ankylosing spondylitis, and psoriatic arthritis. Netakimab was developed by Biocad and has been approved for use in Russia and Belarus for these indications[3][4][5][6][7][8].
