NETrolyze is an investigational small molecule therapy developed by Extrinsic Immunity Therapeutics that targets neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs). NETs are extracellular fibers composed of DNA and proteins released by neutrophils that have been shown to facilitate tumor growth and metastasis. NETrolyze works by selectively degrading these NETs locally within the primary tumor microenvironment, thereby potentially preventing metastasis and improving the efficacy of concurrent immunotherapies without causing systemic immune suppression. It is formulated as a neoadjuvant, slow-release treatment intended for direct injection into and around the tumor, with a lead indication in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).
