NEUK203-13 is an "off-the-shelf" chimeric antigen receptor natural killer (CAR-NK) cell therapy derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). It is specifically engineered to target Delta-like protein 3 (DLL3), a protein that is highly expressed on the surface of small cell lung cancer (SCLC) cells and other neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), while remaining largely absent in normal tissues. Developed by Neukio Biotherapeutics in collaboration with the Cancer Institute and Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, NEUK203-13 utilizes iPSC technology to provide a standardized and scalable alternative to autologous cell therapies. The treatment protocol typically involves lymphodepletion conditioning followed by multiple intravenous infusions of the CAR-NK cells, often supported by Interleukin-2 (IL-2) to promote the persistence and anti-tumor activity of the injected cells.
