Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Neukast is a recombinant granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) marketed by Eurolab as a generic version of filgrastim. It is indicated for the treatment and prevention of chemotherapy-induced neutropenia and other neutropenic conditions in oncology patients. By binding to the G-CSF receptor (CSF3R), Neukast stimulates the production, maturation, and activation of neutrophils in the bone marrow, thereby reducing the duration and severity of neutropenia and the risk of associated infections. It is typically administered via subcutaneous injection or intravenous infusion and serves as a supportive care medicine in oncology.
