Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Neumentix (K110-42) is a proprietary botanical extract derived from specialized, non-GMO lines of spearmint (*Mentha spicata*) developed by Kemin Industries. It is a complex mixture containing over 50 phenolic constituents, including rosmarinic acid, and is primarily marketed as a dietary supplement for cognitive health. The extract has been clinically studied for its ability to improve working memory and focus in adults with age-associated memory impairment. Currently, it is being evaluated in a Phase 3 clinical trial led by Mansoura University to assess its efficacy in enhancing cognitive functions in children aged 4 to 8 years with Down syndrome. Its mechanism of action is believed to involve antioxidant and neuroprotective properties that support neuronal health and neurotransmitter levels, although its specific molecular targets are not fully characterized.
