Neuregulin (重组人纽兰格林) is a recombinant protein drug developed as a therapeutic agent for chronic heart failure and other cardiac conditions. It is based on the active polypeptide fragment of human endogenous neuregulin-1 (NRG1), specifically the NRG1β2α isoform. The drug acts by activating ErbB2 and ErbB4 receptor tyrosine kinases on cardiomyocytes, which triggers downstream signaling pathways crucial for cardiac development and maintenance of myocardial structure and function. This activation promotes sarcomere reassembly in damaged cardiomyocytes, improves contractile unit organization, enhances myocardial fiber structure and function, reverses ventricular remodeling, increases cardiac contractility/relaxation capacity, and ultimately aims to reduce mortality in heart failure patients. Neuregulin is administered as an injectable lyophilized powder formulation[1][2][5][6].
