Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NeuroAiD is a multi-ingredient therapeutic agent derived from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), developed by Moleac for the treatment of neurological deficits and functional recovery following stroke and other neurological conditions. The original formulation, MLC601, consists of nine herbal and five animal components, while the simplified version, MLC901 (NeuroAiD II), contains nine herbal components. It is characterized by neuroprotective and neurorestorative properties, including the promotion of neurogenesis, synaptogenesis, and axonal sprouting. Clinical evidence, notably from the CHIMES and CHIMES-E trials, suggests that NeuroAiD improves functional independence and neurological outcomes in patients recovering from ischemic stroke. It has also been investigated for spinal cord injury, dementia, and cognitive impairment in Alzheimer's disease.
