Overview
NEUROASPIS plp10 is an orally administered nutraceutical cocktail designed as an adjuvant treatment for relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). It consists of a specific mixture of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), including omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids (12,150 mg total), combined with gamma-tocopherol (760 mg), a form of vitamin E. Developed by NEUROASPIS and distributed by Aniva Pharma Hellas, the formulation is intended to be co-administered with existing MS treatments such as interferon-beta. It aims to exert anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects through its PUFA and antioxidant vitamin content. In the Phase III MINERAL study, NEUROASPIS plp10 significantly reduced annual relapse rates and lowered the risk of sustained disability progression by 73% over two years compared to placebo when added to interferon-beta therapy.
