Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Neuroncell-EX is an allogeneic human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cell (hUC-MSC) therapy being developed by Cytopeutics and Xirui Life Science for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke. Manufactured under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance, Neuroncell-EX aims to facilitate neurological function recovery and neuroprotection. Its therapeutic mechanism involves immunomodulation, angiogenesis, and neurogenesis, which are mediated by the regulation of factors such as transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-β1), interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1Ra), and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). Neuroncell-EX is administered via intravenous infusion and is currently undergoing evaluation in Phase II/III clinical trials.
