Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Neutocid-LS is a marketed fixed-dose combination therapy developed by Dios Lifesciences for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), intestinal ulcers, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It contains rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that reduces gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme in the stomach wall, and levosulpiride, a prokinetic agent that acts as a selective dopamine D2 receptor antagonist to enhance gastrointestinal motility and accelerate gastric emptying. This combination addresses both acid-related symptoms and motility issues like bloating and flatulence. It is typically formulated as a sustained-release capsule to provide prolonged therapeutic effects.
