new cryoprecipitate

"New cryoprecipitate" is an investigational, blood-derived coagulation factor concentrate prepared using an optimized method to treat obstetric critical hemorrhage. It contains high concentrations of fibrinogen, Factor VIII, Factor XIII, and von Willebrand factor. Developed and tested at The University of Tokyo Hospital, this product is intended to provide a more potent and rapid source of fibrinogen compared to conventional cryoprecipitate preparation methods. In clinical evaluation (jRCTs032210302), it demonstrated the ability to significantly increase plasma fibrinogen levels and support hemostasis in women with severe postpartum hemorrhage, although the primary trial was terminated early due to insufficient enrollment.
