Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Next-Generation TIL is a preclinical-stage cell therapy program being developed by Obsidian Therapeutics. The program focuses on engineering tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) using the proprietary cytoDRiVE platform to enhance their therapeutic potential. While specific targets for this program are currently undisclosed, the technology enables the pharmacologically regulated expression of therapeutic proteins—such as cytokines or costimulatory ligands—within the TILs. This approach is designed to improve the expansion, persistence, and anti-tumor potency of the cells within the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, potentially eliminating the need for high-dose systemic interleukin-2 (IL-2) support. The program is distinct from the company's lead candidate, OBX-115, and is being evaluated for undisclosed oncology indications.
