Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NFS-04 is an investigational adeno-associated virus (AAV) mediated gene therapy being developed by Neurophth Therapeutics (Wuhan Kaidejinuo Biotechnology) for the treatment of glaucoma and optic nerve injury. The therapy is designed to deliver therapeutic genetic material to the retina to promote the survival and regeneration of retinal ganglion cells (RGCs), which are typically damaged or lost in these conditions. By targeting the underlying neurodegeneration, NFS-04 aims to prevent further vision loss and potentially restore visual function. The program is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development.
