Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NFS-10 is a preclinical gene therapy candidate developed by Neurophth (through its subsidiary Wuhan Kaidejinuo Biotechnology) for the treatment of retinal vascular and degenerative eye diseases, including macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. The therapy utilizes an adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector to deliver a therapeutic transgene directly to retinal cells. The goal of NFS-10 is to provide long-term expression of a therapeutic protein that can modulate pathological disease pathways, such as those involved in angiogenesis and vascular leakage, potentially offering a durable alternative to frequent intravitreal injections of anti-VEGF agents. It is currently undergoing preclinical evaluation.
