Overview

NGEN-143 is an allogeneic, off-the-shelf whole tumor cell vaccine developed by NEUVOGEN for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The vaccine is comprised of six genetically modified allogeneic tumor cell lines enhanced with proprietary activation technology. These cell lines are engineered to present a broad repertoire of tumor-associated and tumor-specific antigens while simultaneously modulating the immune environment. Specifically, the cells are modified to limit the expression of immunosuppressive proteins B7-H3, TGFβ1, and TGFβ2, and to incorporate immunostimulatory cytokines including membrane-bound CD40L, GM-CSF, and IL-12. This multi-pronged approach is designed to facilitate dendritic cell activation and generate polyfunctional cytotoxic T cell responses against cancer cells across a wide range of HLA types.
