Overview

NGF shRNA is a preclinical gene therapy program being developed by Inomagen Therapeutics that utilizes short hairpin RNA (shRNA) technology to knock down the expression of nerve growth factor (NGF). The therapy is designed to target the autonomic nervous system to prevent or treat neural remodeling, which is a key factor in the development of cardiac arrhythmias like atrial fibrillation. The program leverages Inomagen's proprietary TRAVGE™ platform, a non-viral, electroporation-based delivery system intended to provide localized and efficient gene transfer to the heart or other target tissues. While currently in the research stage, it represents a strategic expansion of Inomagen's pipeline beyond its lead NOX2 shRNA candidate.
