In preclinical mouse vaginal colonization models, immunization with NGO1549 alone or combined with NGO0265 significantly reduces bacterial burden and accelerates clearance in a complement-dependent manner (requiring C5b-9 membrane attack complex), positioning it as a promising lead candidate for a gonococcal vaccine.
