Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NH002 is an ultrasound contrast agent developed by Trust Bio-sonics, Inc., consisting of perflutren gas encapsulated within lipid microspheres. Administered intravenously, these microbubbles enhance the acoustic backscatter of blood, allowing for superior opacification of the left ventricular chamber and improved delineation of the endocardial border during echocardiography. This is particularly valuable for patients with suboptimal non-contrast images. The formulation utilizes proprietary lipid technology to ensure the microbubbles are small enough to pass through pulmonary circulation while maintaining high stability for diagnostic imaging. NH002 is currently in Phase 3 clinical development for the evaluation of cardiac diseases, including congenital heart disease.
