Overview

NH130 is a small molecule 5-HT2A receptor inverse agonist being developed by Jiangsu Nhwa Pharmaceutical for the treatment of Parkinson's disease psychosis (PDP). It is designed to selectively target the 5-HT2A receptor, a mechanism intended to alleviate psychotic symptoms such as hallucinations and delusions without interfering with dopaminergic motor function or worsening the primary symptoms of Parkinson's disease. This pharmacological profile is similar to that of pimavanserin, the first FDA-approved treatment for PDP. NH130 is currently undergoing clinical evaluation in China to assess its safety, tolerability, and efficacy in patients with PDP.
