Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NH140068 is a novel small molecule antipsychotic developed by Jiangsu Enhua Pharmaceutical for the treatment of schizophrenia. It is designed as a multi-target ligand with a pharmacological profile characterized by partial agonism at dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT1A receptors, combined with antagonism at serotonin 5-HT2A receptors. This balanced activity aims to provide efficacy against both positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia while minimizing common side effects such as extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS) and metabolic disturbances. The drug is currently undergoing clinical evaluation in China, where it has progressed into Phase 2 trials.
