Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NH160030 is a novel small molecule analgesic candidate developed by Jiangsu Enhua Pharmaceutical. It is designed as a bifunctional ligand that acts as a mu-opioid receptor (MOR) agonist and a delta-opioid receptor (DOR) antagonist. This pharmacological profile aims to provide potent pain relief for chronic and cancer-related pain while minimizing the development of opioid tolerance and physical dependence, which are significant limitations of traditional pure MOR agonists like morphine. The drug is currently undergoing early-phase clinical evaluation in China to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetic profile.
