NHL35700 is a novel small molecule antipsychotic candidate being developed by Jiangsu Enhua Pharmaceutical for the treatment of schizophrenia. It is designed as a multi-target ligand that primarily interacts with dopamine D2 receptors and serotonin receptors, specifically 5-HT1A and 5-HT2A. By modulating these pathways, NHL35700 aims to address the complex symptomatology of schizophrenia, including positive symptoms (such as hallucinations and delusions) and negative symptoms (such as social withdrawal and lack of motivation). The pharmacological profile is intended to provide therapeutic efficacy while minimizing common antipsychotic side effects, such as extrapyramidal symptoms and metabolic disturbances.
